DBG ANNOUNCES NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH LIONSRAW!

 

We are thrilled to announce our new partnership with an amazing global soccer charity, Lionsraw, for the 2015 MLS season. Many of you have had the pleasure of meeting Jon Burns, CEO of Lionsraw and CNN Hero Award winner, at our tailgates. 

 

From youth prisons in Poland and orphanages in South Africa, to the favelas in southern Brazil and underfunded schools in Dallas, there are those who feel the world at large has given up on them. Lionsraw uses the universal language of soccer to unite people to bring hope and, as Jon likes to say, “Chances for Change,” to those in need. With a little bit of love (and elbow grease), the average soccer fan can make a difference to those who seem so far away, even in their own community.

 

The partnership of DBG and Lionsraw allows Jon and his people to bring their message to a wider fan base in the United States. This also gives us a chance to bring the unique experience Lionsraw offers directly to our members and the greater D/FW soccer community. Most importantly, both groups can now come together to build upon the work each has done.

 

The love and passion Jon brings into Lionsraw is inspiring and unbridled, and we are looking forward to teaming up on community projects that will be announced throughout the year. So stay tuned, raise a glass with us and toast to the beginning of a beautiful friendship with our friends at Lionsraw!
